I would think not. Gibson are all in inches and epiphone are all metric sizes. Look for the epiphone/import fit all metric.

I'm with Bigneil too. I actually bought a Gibson PG for my Trad Pro and had to do some filing to get it to fit.

You raised a good point there SJM, a Gibson one could be 'encouraged' to fit utilising a small tool kit. How did it look in the end?

I wish we'd just switch over to metric already.

And use computers to call balls and strikes in baseball while we're at it. To hell with the human element! I want the game called correctly.

There's a recent thread where the guy put a Gibson pickguard on his new Tribute Plus and it fits.

Aw come on, embrace the tradition! We all know the best part of the game is yelling at the ump anyways! :naughty:

I put a Epiphone LP Custom pick guard, and black pickup rings, switch plate and cavity covers on my Trad pro, they all fit fine, I had to slightly relocate one cavity cover screw, I doweled and redrilled the hole.

The kits I found on Ebay, out of China, took about 10 days to get from China to Los Angeles.

They will work but are not exact correct. It also helps if you are switching over the pickup rings.

So what's are we saying then.... are we saying, if you want to buy a new pickguard, buy a metric/epiphone one, but if you already have a gibby one that you'd like to use, then it could be shoe horned into position.

just for the record, I once bought some gibson chrome pickup rings for my MIC '09 standard LP, I was able to tease them into place making new screw holes, but discovered the pickup cavity routes were too wide allowing a 1mm size gap to show at the top and bottom, The underside was also too curved for the flatter epiphone body. I persevered with it for a month or two but it bugged me that they didn't quite fit right, so I bought some new black metric ones...perfect.

Most Gibson pickguards don't even fit most Gibsons.

I bought a Gibson LP Custom pickguard for my Gibson LP Classic, and had to do a lot of sanding to get a somewhat proper fit. And, it still doesn't fit right.

But, as Niel said, Gibson parts are Imperial, and Epis (and, every other import guitar) are metric, and are not interchangeable, at least without any heavy modifications?

well, I guess that I'm going to buy an epiphone pickguard as I don't see any differences between gibson and epiphone pickguard and also in this way I'm sure it will fit.

Lol, and one of the reasons that epiphones sound different than Gibson is because slashtone doesn't translate well into metric.
