I`ve got an offer for Gibson Les Paul Studio CUSTOM. :hmm:

The owner claims it was made in 1987,
but the serial number is: 90111382

therefore implying that it was made in `91.

What are the MAIN differences between LP Studio Standard and Custom series?

In what period were the LP studio custom guitars made? I`ve read about some 1984 studio custom, here on the forum...

What pickups do they have?
Any difference in body/neck material?

This one is alpine white, but as you can see it has no binding.

This is the best image I`ve currentlu have. If I get any better, I`ll post them.

@ type0

You`ve said:

Your guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA
January 11st, 1991
Production Number: 82

@ everyone

I`ve got the answer from Gibson.

It`s a STUDIO standard. Made in 1991, as listed above, alpine white, gold hardware...

To bad it`s not a custom...
Now I`ve got some bargin to do....

That is a regular Studio. Studio Standards and Studio Custom were made in the mid 80's and have bindings and dot inlays. The pups are usually Tim Shaws as well. As for what Gibson said, it's a "standard" as in regular studio, not a Studio Standard. The giveaway is the the year and no binding, Studio Standards have binding on the body and neck. Studio Customs have it on the headstock too.

Thanks!!!

Do you now, for how long were these guitars made?

Say 1983-198... what?

What about the wood?

How many peaces are in the body, how many in the neck?
Is it mahagony, alder?

I`ve red about the pickups, Tim Shaw, or Shawn... right?

Alot of crap on the bay say that it's custom.
They think because they mod it a little then it's a custom, only one like it.

Update - the seller withdrawn his offer.

Still, he claims it`s a Studio Custom, made in 1987 :)

I gave him the [email protected], so he could check it out for himself.
He`s been livin a lie for a while now ;)
It`s time to learn the truth.
