Gibson Les Paul Special Crack At Nut Joint

Hi guys, I recently got a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Special from MusiciansFriend. After sending it for setup, I noticed a crack at the nut joint. I've read that some of these cracks are finish cracks while others are serious cracks in the wood. Below is the link to some pictures I took of it. What do you guys think? Thanks!

I think that if it is new, then you should send it back because it is defective.

Yep , i would send it back. Did the luthier mention anything about the crack?

If its the one heading down perpendicular to the fretboard then it should go back.

Unfortunately he didn't mentioned anything about the crack. I don't think I can send it back though cos I've had it for more than 2 months now. So the crack is a wood crack?

That is a crack in the paint finish. I would just play it.
