I have two Gibson les Paul Standard Faded models. Both models came without the pickguards installed. These guitars have been this way for years. I always wanted to add pickguards but I did not want to drill holes. I had the Bobby Lee pickguard but I didn't like the look. I recently found a screwless pickguard mount that was being sold on eBay. I figured I would give it a try. It was only $8.99 with free shipping. The only thing I didn't like about it was it didn't show the pickguard bracket installed and I wanted the bracket to be installed. When the screwless mount arrived I tried to figure out how would I incorporate the pickguard bracket. I mounted the bracket on the pickguard and thought of a way to install the bracket without damaging the finish on the guitar. I figured a way and here are photos of the pickguard installed. It can be removed in minutes with no holes on the guitar.
