Gibson Les Paul Professional?

I owned a 1970 LP Prof, it weighed a ton and was low impedence pick ups. Paid $575.00 for it brand new. Was real good action, only kept it for about 5 years then sold it.

Looks like fun to tool around with! Not the most aesthetically pleasing thing I ever laid eyes on, however.....ah, neither was my Senior prom date, but she was fun to....well, you get it........

I saw a 1972 LP Professional sell at a collector's auction last year. Looked very similar to LP Recording, maybe a switch or 2 less. It went for $1700.

Gibson reissued the LP Professional a couple of years ago. Maybe that's what the OP is referring to?
