Seems that sometimes they have a theme or idea in mind, then equip a model accordingly. Other times they throw a bunch of features together (apparently randomly) and *then* have to come up with a name. The latter seems to be the case here.

As far as features being relevant to the intended model, I don't understand how something like a G-Force can be on a Traditional. What is traditional about a robot?

Aha....Who can forget the abomination that was the "Reverse Flying V"

I'm really digging these. For a guitar that has only the covers and flame maple removed/exchanged you save a whole lot compared to the traditional model. This is my fourth Les Paul and this is the one that did it for me. Single piece maple cap (on mine) and sustain for ever. Beautiful tone. Playing the snot out of mine. Really really trying to swing another one before they're not available anymore. If they are available anywhere near where you are I think you need to have a real serious look.

PMT now have a video comparison of the 2016 Classic, Traditional, and Standard against the player's own Custom Shop reissue. It's buried in their blog post on the classic. No conclusions by the player of which best, just plays the same on all four guitars.

putting aside the stupid marketing hype of the product description it's a nice inexpensive no frills LP. Love mine.

Had a look inside today. Totally bummed out that they put the electronics on a PCB. That's going to make things a bit of a pain in the upgrade department. Totally new news to me. WTF?

Not really. You would likely have replaced the pots, caps and wiring anyway. Not it all lifts out in one piece.

Would I have replaced the pots if it wasn't on a PCB? Are the stock ones they would have used sub-par as well?
