I played one for a while. Nice bass, fat sounding, very even.

And heavy like two basses.

I always wanted , kinda …HA HA wanted an early 70’s Les Paul bass….maybe it was called a Triumph? Looked like a million dollars and weighted 1;2 million pounds .

it was Walnut color , it was brand new and hung on the store rack for around 4-5 years , no body would bite on it , the price was down to like 375.00 at one point. . It was so blessed heavy , maybe 17 pounds and I was only 130 pounds myself in those days .

I've never played one and often wondered why they were a total flop since the guitar is so popular. Weight would turn me off; I also doubt that I would like humbuckers on a bass. Single coils or active PUs work for me for bass. If the PUs are warm and humbucking, you're starting with an extreme tone and a seriously limited tonal range.
