This is my first post so hello everybody!
A few days ago I ordered a bunch of 500k Gibson Historic Spec pots and measured them. I think there will be a few people who are interested in the data to see in which tolerance they are produced, so here it is:
417
426
427
430
432
434
437 x 3
438
440
441
445
446
447
458
461
464
470
478
480
484
497 x 2
498
505 x 2
509 x 2
516
517
524
529
531
541 x 2
551
558
(38 pots)
I kept the highest values for my R8 (Neck 2x541 and Bridge 2x 509) and my ES 335 (Neck 558, 551 and Bridge 531, 529). These kind of pots came stock with my 2011 R8 and I like the taper but the values were shitty (NV 432k NT 480 BV 517 BT 430). So I decided to go with the pots but order a lot of them to match some nice pairs. I soldered some needles to my multimeter to stick through the plastic foil so I was able to send back the rest.
Here are some pics of the work.
R8 with Luxe Bumble Bees (0.015MFD + 0.022MFD)
ES335 with russian PIOs K40Y-9 (0.015MFD + 0.022MFD)
Pickups in both guitars are Amber Spirit of 59 - Callaham and Pigtail Hardware.
Thanks a lot and greetings from Germany.
