Hi guys. I'm looking at an Epiphone Les Paul Standard with "Gibson" on the truss rod cover. I ran the serial number and it was made in Korea in January 2001. It's a Honeyburst with the "Plus" top...book-matched tiger-striped maple. It's in excellent shape with only a few minor handling marks...to be expected for the age. Came with original Epi hard case. Just seeking any information that might be helpful. Were these good examples of the Epiphone Les Paul? My son has one just like it....same color and everything....except his truss rod cover reads "Les Paul Standard". His is a later Korean one....I bought it for him new at GC some years back....before Gibson built the Epiphone plant in China. Any opinions on the used one I'm looking at would be appreciated. Thanks.
