1990 (according to Gibson), although I remember seeing the 1989 one above when I was looking for my '90.

It's interesting to note that 1986 was the first year Gibson had dropped the Deluxe from their lineup since they began producing the LP again in 68/69.

I've been looking for info on that SG 90. My cousin picked one up and didn't know anything about it. Only, it has a steinberger bridge. If not for that, it would be a really nice guitar.

the les paul double cutaway xpl is badass. they should bring that back

Thank you for this thread. It appears the current Les Paul Jr Special, originated from the Les Paul Jr. 2. I thought the two PU P-90 LP Jr Special was a newer concept, however it appears it isn't.
