I've read on more than one forum that BB#1 and BB#2 are the ticket. Never tried them myself yet, but its on my to do list. :)

Yep. Got the BB1 and BB2 in my Lester. Sounds great, but when you do the conversion, change the caps, and control pots too. Money well spent.

I have the BB1 and BB2 in my 1960 V3 and really like them. Another option is the Diz. 36ths in my opinion.

I have the BB1/BB2 combo in all of mine. They're a good pickup for the money. The Duncan Antiquities can also be had for around the same cost and produce a good tone as well.

Just about anything else will be an improvement over the stock Epi pickups, just all depends on what tone you are going after. You can also check out GFS pickups. I've never tried them but alot of guys speak very highly of them and they are very affordable.

Went to see at guitarfetish for those GFS,good sound and prices look good also, anyone has more thoughts about them?

I placed the BB3 at the bridge and a '57 at the neck on my Silverburst Custom and they sound absolutely great. What a difference.
