Gibson BFG question?

I've decided to get a Gibson BFG. But is it wise to buy online. I'm in Asia and my local store here does sell them but the prices are way too high. And it doesn't even come with the case. I guess they keep it to resell or something? Buying it online would be much cheaper plus i get the original Gibson Case. What worries me though is i won't get to test and inspect it. If there is a problem with the guitar, then returning it is going to be a real hassle. So, question is, is it wise to order online?
