Just wondering if there is any reason I shouldn't get my guitar set-up at the GC. I generally try to avoid it, but uh.. yeah. It's closest..easiest around.

I have some minor fret buzz on the low 'e' string and its starting to drive me nuts. I've never gotten a guitar set-up actually :)o )
anyways... thinking of having them put in a new nut, probably a bone or tusq as well just for good measure..

Unless they will file your nut slots, don't waste your time or money - as a setup is of minimal impact without your nut slots getting worked over.

(Woops - I guess they'd have to with the new nut! IF they have a good tech working there, go for it.)

if ya in NY, maybe go to the NYC GC...... most techs at GCs are outsider guys who contract space from GC to do their work...
