Yea, those meds can be very addictive. I'm sure they're keeping good records because of the WC stuff.

I'm sure it sucks. Everyone wants to put the blame on someone else and no one wants to pay for the bills. I can see making it hard on the people that are faking it....but that happens to the people that need it too (it's a shame).
No what really sucked was I could not get my treatments till WC approved & they drug ass or would send me 90 miles to their doctors to counter. I had to get a nurse case worker to go with me to all appointments & fight for what I needed or what she felt was to risky. Funny thing is the other guys auto insurance had to pay & from my settlement I had to pay WC & all the bills & the lawyer.

I've never watched that show. But eventually people get burned out in the medical field. You kind of get hardened by having to deal with the people that fight you every step of the way and sometimes get like that over time.

I was hurt at work. I work for a electrical company & we had just finished a million + house except for 2 sets of very high flood lights. The builders plan was for us to wait till the back decks were build which would have got us up about 12 -15 ‘. One day my supervisor calls me to meet a service tech there who was bringing a ladder from the main shop that we had never used before a 40’ heavy duty fiberglass one. It stuck past the truck by 6’ or more on each end. With two of us it was a major struggle just to get it off the truck so I called my supervisor to ask for additional help. Which he only got angry said no & the job needed to be done.( He wanted his bonus for a complete 100 % done) So with the other guy standing at the base I got under the ladder on the other end & raised that end above my head & proceeded to walk towards him raising the ladder .When it was at a 45 degree my shoulder felt like it just ripped out its socket. So I call the supervisor to tell him & He seemed to get angry about it. I told him no way was I going to be able to climb that ladder. We ended up finishing the job & then I called the main boss & told him I was leaving going straight to the hospital. Going there they told right off I would most likely need surgery & sent me for x rays & a MRI & then to a specialist. Who said I needed surgery but being it was a work comp I had to do 6 weeks of Physical therapy 3 times per week. It ended up that I had a torn labarum & the tear was bad & the PT was making it buckle & worse. So it was stopped & back to the specialist who said I needed to see his partner to schedule surgery. When I went to him he looked at my stuff & motion then seemed bothered he said my tear was in the rear & behind the ball joint which is rare & he felt he could not do it & refered me to Johns Hopkins saying I would need a team of surgeons. Workers Comp then sent a John Hopkins surgical nurse to visit me & look over things & she took me to a surgeon herself. So basically when I went into surgery there was like 6 people in there. Through microscopic surgery they dislocated my arm from shoulder & reattached the labrum with 7 pin shots & relocated my arm. For 6 weeks I had to wear a sling & could not move my arm. Try that it sucks big time. So I been doing PT since then & I have not got my motion back my arm is frozen. Most pain was not in my shoulder but in my biceps & forearms Like tendon pains. The nights are the worse .They are thinking i have scar tissue build up or another tear or something didn’t take. I know my upper arm & shoulder has the tenderness of when you have a infected cut

WOW... that is a mess... hope it's better bro. :wow::wow:

:wow: This thread spans a long time. I just hooked up with it today. All the best to you, Flick. I hope that the new surgery will get it done and you will be mended very soon. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Michael
