I'll never get musicians who bash other musicians who made it by whatever schtick they decided to use....

eh,...I've watched a lot of the 'older guys' recent concerts on youtube,....I'm not sure people are getting more for their money.

Maybe more explosions to hide the fact they can't play and sing anymore? :laugh2:

Or a large back catalogue of hits that bring back memories to the audience when they had full heads of hair and looked hot in low-rise jeans.:D

Propping up the dinosaurs just makes rock look sadder and weaker,...year after year.

We are sadder(maybe) and weaker every year, that's why seeing those dinosaurs up there makes us remember when we weren't. It was the same for the other generations going to see Ellington or Sinatra.

Why is hip-hop popular? It's young, vibrant, and marketed that way.

Who is rock really marketed to? My 60+ year old Dad?

Well it is marketed that way but is it really vibrant, or just the easiest product for a producer to churn out with the lowest common denominator talent and a label to market?

I'm not 60 yet but have enjoyed a lot of different forms of music, even quite a bit of hip-hop though most of it the older stuff. Personally I miss New Jack.

And I'd still rather see these guys do this live than see 98% of today's young hip performers.

Money is important because people think it is and want it to be. It's monopoly money, worth something because people want it to be.

Money's only really good for purchasing overpriced luxury distractions,...which don't distract for long before people start shopping around for something else. This mentality seems to extend to relationships and everything else these days.

Actually money is good for renting trucks to haul equipment, paying someone to move said equipment, buying equipment for the guy to move, putting gas in the truck for the equipment, food and lodging on the road, studio time to get a decent recording, paying to have merchandise made to sell at a markup; just so many things that make being a musician more fun.:D

...gotta fill some void in their life I suppose because people seem to be fundamentally unhappy at their core.

I've been broke and I've been comfortable, and much happier being comfortable. :naughty:

...or maybe I'm just nuts. :laugh2:

Getting warmer brother, getting warmer. :laugh2:

Love this picture! The plywood stage, the bins and horns, the truck, no drum riser, all look like the better places we played. It's just so rock and roll. Does anyone know where this was taken?

I like money, but past a certain point (more than you could ever spend), what is the point unless you stop to just enjoy it once in a while?

Did you read" he's slept with almost 7000 women"? Plus Cher in her prime...........:naughty::fingersx:

How can anyone brag about getting Sonny's Seconds?

Hey he got her when she was just a skinny kid. In the Mid 70's until the 90's she was a force to be reckoned with. She peaked here in this 89' video:

I'm convinced Gene Simmons and Gregg Allman are at least 2 inches shorter after banging her a few times. :fingersx:
