the wooden knobs on BFG's have always looked weird. I prefer speed knobs.

Sorry fo the semi necrothread, but I played one of these at GC today and I really liked it. Took a minute to get used to the lack of binding and the rougher finish, but after that it really felt like a punk machine. Something you don't have to worry about throwing down with. I liked it alot, humbucker for rhythms and P90 for leads. Felt good.

You're right! Bad F'in Guitar! Check out this Gibson produced video for the BFG on youtube. Skullkin sings about the BFG.

The BFG is probably the first les paul to ever have a song written about it, and the first Les Paul to have Les Paul's (the man) actual sig on the headstock straigh from the factory (these were the first 52 in the 3 original colors that bore his autograph). and Im pretty sure those will be collectors items since he is no longer with us.
Here's one with Lesters sig:

And more history on the BFG:

I don't like green and I don't like BFGs. But I'd still take it over a Fireturd X.

Played one down at my local shop here in Sydney today. Loved it when I first saw the release info on them and loved it even more when I picked on up today.

Taking my amp down there on Saturday to plug it in and might walk away with it if it sounds as good as it plays so potentially a NGD coming up.

Man is it light though. I reckon it weighs less than my Studio Lite.
