my apologies if i came across as targeting you.

Moore just sounds like Moore, LOL! He'd probably shred on a uke!!

There are a lot of PAF options out there to help you sound like you.

Yep, practice a lot of blues licks, get an SLO 100 or an old early 70's metal panel Marshall and some low wind PAF repros.

His tone is very much in his hands
and try a uke if that dont work

He is simply great

If you truly want Gary Moores screaming tone you best save up your pennies and get you a Soldano head and a good cabinet, no matter what he plays through that amp always sounds killer.

Talk to the guys at Bareknuckle Pickups, i think Gary Moore has used some of their pickups, think it was the pickups in his Les Paul with out of phase tone.

Both les pauls have old paf i thing (Petter Green les paul and les paul from first video in my thread)

Other pickups that Gary use in les paul are emg 81 and PJ.Max actives in heritage.

and for sure Tom Holmes pickups usa! NOT japan ...but sorry i cant give 700+$ for tom holmes pickups

The Unofficial GREEK Gary Moore Fan Site .....says about guitars and everything (in english dont worry)

http://www.moorepanos.com/pages/misc/all.htm

For Tom Holmes:

"Tom Holmes has made guitars & pickups his entire life, He makes pickups & Guitars for Billy Gibbons & Bo Diddley & many more celebrities & aficionados alike.

Tom has perfected the PAF sound, everyone agrees that Tom's TH450 PAF repro's are the most authentic anywhere. The appearance & sound of these pickups is absolutely the closest thing available to those old 59 Les Paul pickups that some people will pay $3,000.00 each for. Usually they are magnetically degraded and are not worth the money that people pay for them."
