Up on the block is my '57 Tweed Twin amp from the Fender Custom Shop. As you can see from the pics, the amp is in excellent shape and has seen very little use outside of a home studio environment.
100% handwired tube Tweed tones, this amp is extremely rich in harmonics and sounds great both clean and cranked. I'm a big fan of the Weber-designed Emi AlNiCos that Fender put into these amps -- they're simply some of the best production speakers I've heard come out of the Custom Shop and pair with the pine cab and circuit beautifully. A nice feature with this version of the Twin is the ability to remove one of the rec tubes to drop the volume, increase sag and lower the headroom slightly. With both rec tubes in, this amp has tons of volume and snap. Tight build quality with a neatly-handwired turret board, quality components, etc. Currently has a mix of NOS and new production tubes in it and will come with a nice D2F padded cover.
Features:
These amps are no longer being produced by the Fender Custom Shop, but sold for $2,999 when new.
Asking $1650 shipped and will split PayPal with the buyer. Would flex on the price a bit if it's a local sale in the East TN area.
I would consider trades / partials for the following:
- Vintage '59 Gibson Melody Maker
- Issues vintage Gibson Jr
- Vintage SG Jr
- 60s Fender Reverb unit
- 60s Blonde Bassman head
- 60s/70s Fender Princeton... things of that nature.
Please PM or email [email protected] with any questions. Thanks!
