I'm looking to trade a 1976 LP Custom in excellent condition; when I bought the guitar a few years back, the only major change from factory condition was that a prior owner added a set of 490R/490T pickups. Other than that, only an aftermarket bridge was installed. I've kept all the parts that came with the guitar as I purchased it, and they would be included in the trade along with a recent black white-lined Gibson USA case.
Since purchasing, I've added a set of 1960's Grover Futura tuners, as well as new Faber lightweight tailpiece and ABR-1 parts, all in chrome. I've also added DiMarzio pickups (Super Distortion in the bridge position, 36th Anniversary in the neck). These are a fantastic match to this guitar. All new historic plastic replaced the original black pickguard and pickup rings.
There is only some minor swirling on the finish and one small impression on the back of the guitar. The electronics are dead quiet and the original shield can is still installed in the control cavity.
The original frets are in perfect condition; these aren't the fretless wonders, but they are still pretty low, with no pits, dents, etc. to be found. This one has not seen a lot of play over the last 40 years.
Weight is around 10.5 lbs. It is a stunner in person, and is a super comfortable player. I could send additional photos to anyone with serious interest in trading/buying.
I'm looking for either a Bourbonburst or Ebony 2014 or later R8 in return, not really anything else. I'm willing to ship to the lower 48 only. Trade value $3,500; sale value $3,250. Please PM with any questions, and thanks for looking.
