Not trying to stir things up, but how come there are not similar rules for Fender replicas? Licensing agreements? Either way a free bump for a mysteriously shaped Vaschenko. Could be tele shaped?

this guitar doesn't look anything like a Les Paul. It's a single cut but if you told me it was a PRS I'd believe you. if it was a replica i could understand the harassment but on this one it seems really lame for anyone to be giving him a hard time. the headstock is not trying to look like a Gibson and neither is the body. if you don't like a guitar don't read or comment on the thread.

I think it all comes down to legal ramifications. Whether or not Gibson even cares at this point is kinda moot.. I suppose the website wants to play it safe just the same. Can you imagine what would happen if someone in the halls of Gibson got a bug up their ass and decided to "crack down" on stuff like this. Then what? The admins have to go back through years of posts looking for anything that even resembles a Les Paul.. Yep, playing it safe is the best bet.

Besides all that. It's best to sell on Reverb and Ebay anyway. Far quicker and usually at higher prices.

Again, if it's trying to be anything it looks more like a PRS or Collings. Gibson's doesn't use that material for binding, the headstock is more PRS than Gibson, the top carve is more reminiscent of a PRS than a Gibson, and so is the neck heel.

Amazing some ppl have nothing better to do than harass members trying to sell an instrument.

Free bump. I don't see how Gibson can lay claim to the single cutaway design as the broadcaster single cut pre dates the LP shape. Headstock shape, yes. Single cut body. No.
