For sale is the original Phaez Mad King, co-designed by me and built by Randy in December 2017. Two channels, 1987X Plexi as the base "clean" channel and Randy's signature Daisycutter gain channel on top. Single-ended EL34 at approximately 12 watts with power scaling, hi and lo inputs and FX loop. Can take other power tubes as well, allowing for a wide range of voicings.

Absolutely badass amp. The concept was basically the tone palette of my Friedman Wildwood Edition Smallbox (one of my all-time favorite amps) at a lower wattage ideal for home and studio. Does classic Marshall Plexi right on up through JCM territory, a rock and roll freight train with killer tones at every stop in between. Don't be fooled by the 12W; those are "Randy Watts." This thing can get f'ing LOUD - but with the power scaling and MV you can also get ridiculous, monster tone at don't-wake-the-baby levels: The whispers in the Mad King's head that drove him insane. It was a great concept for an amp and Randy absolutely nailed it.

Like-new condition with low hours; original tubes still going strong. This model has since become one of the top featured amp designs on the Phaez website and sells for $799 new for the chassis and tubes only: Link here.

Price for this, the original prototype, is $600 plus actual shipping. You will not find more sonic firepower at this price anywhere, ever.

Damn nice amps Randy builds! I've had an 8 watt Daisycutter for about 6 years and love it. Would like to move someday to a nice 2 channel Phaez like this one you sold. Congrats on the sale.:dude:

I recently sold my Windy City duo Corona / Sibly 7w with power scaling. That's one I'll always regret. The Corona side is something remarkable!
