FOR SALE: Gibson Les Paul - ***SPARKLE SILVER GLITTER FLAKE Custom Finish by MARTY BELL*** - One of a kind

THE GUITAR: This guitar started it's life out as a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio. I'm the 2nd owner, and purchased it in 1994. It was gigged and played, but never abused, and always well taken care of. USA Gibsons from the 90's are phenomenal guitars, and this one is no exception. This is one of the good Studios, with a gorgeous piece of rich, dark ebony for the fingerboard. The frets have only been lightly leveled and crowned ONCE - tons of life left. To top it all off, this Les Paul clocks in at only 8 pounds 11 ounces!!! The glitter-flaked portion of the guitar is in immaculate condition; and the neck and headstock show minor play wear, but are in superb shape for a 20+ year old guitar! I have babied this guitar since I was 14.

THE FINISH: Around 2008, I sent the guitar to Marty Bell in California, to be refinished in Silver Glitter Flake. Marty Bell Finishing - PREMIER GUITAR FINISHING For those that don't know, Marty Bell is the master of glitter-flake finishes, and has done custom work for famous artists and some of the top guitar brands in the world. Instead of flaking the entire guitar, I asked Marty if he could tape off some "faux binding", and end the glitter around the neck joint. Marty knocked it out of the park on this one - in the sun, and under stage lights, this guitar shines and sparkles like it's going to catch fire.

PICKUPS: The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Brobucker - Hand wound in the Custom Shop my Maricela Juarez, the Brobucker is a true vintage-spec 42AWG PAF, but wound up to 10K for extra punch, and an aged Alnico 5 magnet for warmth. It has the output and push of a higher output bucker, but with the organic PAF feel. The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan SH1 59, which matches with the Brobucker phenomenally well.

UPGRADES: Other upgrades to this unique axe:
• Callaham Stainless ABR1 conversion posts and thumbwheels ($18)
• Gibson chrome ABR1 bridge ($45)
• Russian NOS Paper-in-oil vintage style capacitors, .015 and .022
• Gibson Black bell knobs
• Gibson poker chip with white imprint lettering
• Kluson Tonepros vintage style tuners with Bolt bushings ($50)
• Gibson USA black snakeskin case, with custom-made white satin shroud ($125)

Bottom line: This is a super-unique, toneful, lightweight, one-of-a-kind Gibson USA Les Paul, with over $450 worth of upgrades, and a custom $300+ finish. I think I've just decided that I'm not a glitter-flake kind of guy - I'm not giving this guitar the playtime that it deserves. Someone needs to give this guitar a new home, and make sure that it's rocked on stage, under lights, as often as possible.

I'm looking to get $1250 SHIPPED ConUs for this beauty.

Guitar will be double-boxed and double-foamed, shipped FedEx Ground insure, signature required.
