This is a fantastic Epi. If you like Tom Murphy LP's or the Fender Road Worn series, then this guitar is for you! This is a guitar I had not planned on ever selling, but I have 3 LP's at the moment and only play 1, and need to sell one to fund a Tele.
It has 15+ years of dings and playing wear (but not abuse). I'll be honest...I had a set of Bareknuckle pups in this briefly and the guitar sounded absolutely AMAZING! If you blindfold me, with the same pickups, I'd likely pick this one over any other LP. I've had this in the closet for a few months since I've got my MIJ LP's. I brought it back out last night and played it for a few hours and I remembered just how nice it sounds/plays.
PLEASE look at all the photos carefully. There are too many little dings to try to describe them all.
There are dings/dents and scratches on the back/edges, some light buckle rash, some light dings on the headstock. The top is very clean with the exception of one small ding on the horn...barely noticeable. The gloss finish from the switch down to the arm rest has dulled from years of play to a nice satin/matte. It's hard to get the camera to pick it up, but it's there. A good polish might bring it all back to glossy, or you could check out the "dulling poly" thread over in the epi section and give the entire guitar a nice satin vos type look. Also, all the screws have some light tarnishing and there are several screws missing from the control plate/jack/pup rings. Everything is on tight without them. I never bothered to replace them, but $5 at Home Depot should replace them all.
Don't let some honest playing wear scare you. This is a fantastic guitar for a backup, a kid, a stage guitar, or for someone like me who doesn't like the sick feeling of putting a ding or scratch on a mint new guitar!
Any questions, please ask.
I would prefer $ but would also consider any trade offers! I'm pretty open, so try me. Worst I can say is no, which is no big deal.
I also have 295+ pos. feedback as seller on ebay as reference.

- Serial #1100903 - Made in Korea 1991
- 3pc. Mahogany neck, Mahogany Body w/ Flame Veneer (body appears to be 3 pc. on the back, but could be veneer playing tricks on my eyes) nice combo of flame/plain top grain on the veneer
- Trans Tenon Neck Joint
- 100% Structurally Sound -No cracks, repairs, breaks, etc.
- Stock Epi Kluson style tuners - I originally planed to change these but they held tune so well I didn't see any need.
- Stock Epi Bridge and Tailpiece
- Bindings/Plastics have aged to a darker creme although the camera flash doesn't show it well. There are scratches/dings on the pup rings typical of 15yr. old guitar.
- Aftermarket creme pickguard included -it is close but NOT perfect match but I'm including it anyway.
- New Switchcraft style switch and jack
- Pots - marked 500k on some, I can't see through the solder from the ground wire on the others. These were in the guitar when I received it but I do not believe they are the original stock pots. The neck volume pot is scratchy - a shot of pot cleaner may fix it. If not it will need a new pot. $5 max to fix, I would do it, but I don't have any pots on hand.
- Sprague Vitamin Q PIO Caps - 0.015 in the neck and 0.022 in the bridge 50's style wiring scheme
- Switch tip was missing so I put a little duct tape on. I'll include a spare white tip by request, but it won't match the creme plastic. $2-4 to replace at most.
- Knobs - These came w/ the guitar when I got it, but I do not believe them to be original.
- Pickups -
- Irongear Rolling Mills (chrome cover) in the neck - check out this site for soundclips/specs on this great pup if you're not familar with it: Guitar Pickups UK - IronGear Pickups - IronGear Rolling Mill Details
- Seymour Duncan JB in the Bridge
- Frets show light wear from 15yrs of playing. Nice LOW action without fret buzz, but I do reccommend having a fret dressing in the distant future. There might be one low fret in the 20-22 range. I havn't played it much lately. Plenty of meat left on these frets. As with all guitars, I recommend you set it up to suit your personal preferences.
- 60's Style slim neck profile (I'll miss this neck!)
- Approx. 8-9lbs. on the bathroom scale. Very light compared to my Orville by Gibson.
- Epi Gig bag included - light wear and scuffs and a tear on the inside near the headstock - please see photos - I'll DEDUCT $20 if you don't need it.
