:slash:Does this mean you finally sold all your guitars and you're just down to the accessories now? :dunno:

Chainsaw case - I have an Identical one to this... Came with my '81 Pro Deluxe.
I'd have to say late 70's to early 80's..... i've only seen a couple with the brown interiors. FWIW don't keep anything bulky ( ie Big strap ) in the plastic center compartment as it will push up into the neck of your guitar and wear all the way through finish over time causing a chip. Very sturdy and nice cases tho!

I have no idea man. Let me know if you know how to find out. Thanks.

How many latches are there and what type of latches (plastic, metal)? I am interested depending on what generation it is!! :)

EDIT: I'm an idiot and I just looked at the picture--2 metal latches!

There's something wrong with me....reread the post noticed you said it was missing a latch. Make that 3 metal latches--Generation 3 case likely from the 80's although I am not sure if it can be dated exactly.

from the interior colour it's a first generation case...circa 1978,maybe a bit later...

Really? I thought 3 medal latches indicated 3rd gen...wasn't the first generation 2 plastic latches?:hmm:
