For sale is a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic in Honey Burst. All parts are original. ABR-1 bridge. One-piece back. Weighs 10lbs even on the bathroom scale – doesn’t feel like it though. It’s very well balanced. The craftsmanship on this guitar is pretty remarkable – better than any current Gibson my local guitar center has had over the past year (including historics) and rivals my R0. The inlays have a subtle worn look to them – definitely not the mtn dew green you see on some Classics. I’m not sure why classics aren’t valued higher. This is a fantastic guitar - currently the highest quality Gibson for the money that I’ve seen. I predict these will be highly sought after in the not too distant future.

This guitar’s plain top has some character. It’s hard to tell from the poor pictures, but it the top has a subtle flame and some bird’s eye depending on the angle and lighting. The neck plays very smooth and comfortably and is probably on the average side of USA 60’s necks. Light play wear including some minor scratches on the back – all superficial. The input jack plastic could probably be replaced – will ship with a new one just in case - also missing the original pick guard. The binding and finish on this guitar is amazing. Unplugged, it’s loud. Plugged in, it sounds thick and meaty yet remains very articulate. Definitely sounds like a Les Paul should. Overall, this is one beautiful high quality Les Paul.

Asking $1500 pp’d and shipped. I’m looking for a LPC player or a 50’s tribute gold top + cash for a possible trade. Let me know.

Sorry for the poor pics. I had to take them with my web-cam. I’ll see what I can work out in the near future.
