How does a 712' have one piece body and one piece neck? didn't that stop in early 69'?

In 71-72 Gibson did their first 50’s LP Reissue. This had one piece body, one piece neck, no volute and small headstock, but it was not historically accurate in a lot of aspects (for example, neck angle).
They called it Ri 58, but it was in fact a 54.

Im not the OP, so the guitar is not mine.
The guitar of the OP was converted to humbucker, as this model got P90's from factory. That's why this's a '54 and not a '58 reissue.
