I've decided to sell my vintage 1958 Les Paul Special. It was refinished in the late 1990's and the serial number is gone, unfortunately; however, the front of the headstock was kept original. It's hard to tell from the pics, but the mahogany grain is visible through the TV Yellow finish.
Here is a list of parts that are original or vintage correct replacements:

There are no breaks or cracks in the guitar's history. It has some buckle rash on the back as shown in the pics. I do not have the original alligator soft case, but the guitar will be shipped in a hardshell case.
These are the only pics I have currently, but I'll try and get some additional ones posted soon.
Asking $4400 PP/shipped/insured within the continental U.S. Sorry, but no international shipping due to the Brazilian rosewood fretboard.
If you're interested in the guitar without the parts (or only some of them), send me as message as I am open to those options. For example, I would ship just the husk with no parts for $3200.
Here is a list of parts that are original or vintage correct replacements:
- Rubber switch washer ("shock ring") - original to the guitar
- Tuners - period-correct from a late 1950's Les Paul Special or Junior
- Pickguard - from a 1956 Les Paul Special
- Pickups - vintage set from a 1957 Les Paul Special (out of phase middle position)
- Dark Brazilian rosewood fretboard (a few divots from play wear, but nothing affecting playability)
- Frets - original to the guitar (decent amount of life left, but are a little worn and '58 was the last year for the somewhat small frets)
Here is a list of high-end reproduction parts that are on the guitar:
- Montreux Time Machine knobs
- Montreux Time Machine jack plate
- MojoAxe aged nickel compensated tailpiece
- MSSC Holy Grail harness including real vintage 1950's bumblebee capacitors (two original pots will be included in the case, but are not really usable)
- CreamTone switch tip (appears slightly lighter shade than in the pic)
- Schaller strap buttons
- Vintage bone nut crafted and installed by luthier Jason Burns
