I wasn't completely thrilled with the look of my 96 Classic and have been looking at various pictures of them on the internet and thinking about what I might like more. I had the black plastics in my parts drawer so I swapped them out today and I think I like this a bit better, looks a little less innocent :dude: . As I was restringing and tuning I discovered that my D & G strings were buzzing above the 12th and when I went to investigate further I discovered that the bridge had sunk on me. Very, very frustrating since I had a Faber kit pulled up yesterday since they had a Cyber Monday sale going and decided to hold off since the guitar didn't really need it. Ugh. I've emailed Faber to see if they'll extend the sale price for me since this would be probably the fifth or sixth kit I've purchased from them, fingers crossed.

Anyway, here are the before and after the facelift pics.

That is a great top with beautiful figure. I'd go with cream plastics.
Disagree.

IMHO, black plastics offer a good contrast, and make figured tops (and GTs) pop even more.

Cream plastics are too plain...again, IMHO.

I can’t look at the black plastics. It just looks wrong to me.
