Take your pick for the better rock song. Both were released in 1975.

Hole in the Sky- released 28 July 1975 on 'Sabotage'.
Loose beat by Ward, head bobbing tempo, sick fuzz on Geezers bass tone, killer Iommi riffs with a raw Laney tone. Has stoners worldwide shouting more:

Kashmir- released 24 February 1975 on 'Physical Graffiti'. Technical mastery by all four, impeccable timing, sexy and interesting use of orchestral elements, made a cameo appearance in 'Fast Times...' = street cred:

Both are classics, which one wins the hard rock prize?

I'd listen to Hole any day over Kashmir. I love Geezer's grind on that one. Kasmir is just too damn long and repetitive; also been played to death on Rock radio.

Sabbath here too.

On a related note, 1975 Sabbath would beat 1975 Zep's ass in a fist/bar fight.

Kashmir would be my entrance music every time I enter a room.

I like them both but Kashmir for me, it was the first Zeppelin song I heard as a kid and the first cool song I learnt to play on guitar.

I love Zep but I had to go with Sabbath (see avatar). It's kind of apples and oranges because Physical Graffiti and Sabotage are completely different styles. I love both albums for what they are. Lotta gems on both!!
