fretless fretboard, but not a fretless?

okay. so i was looking at guitars, and i came across this manufacturer, and they have the most unique fretboards ive ever seen. Theres no actual frets, and its not technically a scallop, but there are triangular grooves cut, and the top of the triangle is where the fret would be, but its just wood. i attempted to do a little drawing(side view) of it in paint, its bad, but it will give you the idea.

Anybody have any more information on these?

I believe there was a Roland synthesiser guitar with a synthetic fretboard like that...

rivier, it is one of the guitar manufacturers on wikipedias "guitar company" page. i forgot which one though.

MesaBoogie, it wasnt a synth guitar or a roland, im certain of that, i believe it was a strat shape
