Hey all, i posted this in the general gibson forum on this site but I figured I'd get more suggestions/explanations if i posted it here since you guys are the builders of the bunch. Basically it looks like there is a crack along the top of the fretboard where it meets the neck and it wasn't there two days ago. I don't know if its something to worry about or not or if it is just cosmetic.

Here is the link to my post (with the picture of it) in another section of these forums

Thanks a ton in advance,

the photo is not clear enough to be sure.. but being as it appears to be in the middle of the fretboards edge i would say it not a crack in the wood.

but either a deep scratch or possibly where the lacquer is chipping back from the fretboard edge.

watch it and see if it grows any, maybe put a small piece of masking tape on the ends of it and see if it enlarges any. if it does..Then I would start to suspect a wood crack and it will need immediate attention.

also if its a wood crack you should be able to squeeze it and see it close up.
