Ok, this may be a very dumb question but some said my fretboard needed oiling. How can you tell. I don't think it feel too dry. Is there a tell tale sign of when it should be done, like a tire rotation?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

normally you can feel it, it will feel dry and sort of like sandpaper, mostly you can tell just by lookign at it it will look lighter in colour and well dried out.

i had a look at your myspace btw not my type of music but still good.

Just got back from the technician.
The clean the fret board everytime they do a setup/checkup.
Convenient because they take all the stings off (followed by adjusting the truss rod).

The FB needs to be cleaned, moisturized and wood nourished.
Bad if you don't do it...good or can't hurt if you do it.

Yep, I use F-one oil.......just be careful, don't oil the actual frets, it could cause them to lift, and you don't want that problem.....:)
