Great video! I actually think olive green would be a great color for it. And of course it would be perfect for the "Frankenstein" theme too. Whatever you decide I'm sure it'll turn out great.

The gold top suggestions would do the obvious to maximize the result despite the wood.....but sort of miss the real nuance. The clear suggestions really show off the nuance but clear would be a bit boring. The idea of a transparent green to go further unique, show the wood nuance, and make a laughable jest at Frankenstein would be just grand IMHO.

All that said I have seen lots of suggestions from the peanut gallery and none from the mad scientist himself....what does the builder think he will do with the color?

P.S. Green top with a reddish back would be very Paul-esque but also very Frank-esque. Just saying:)

You're welcome.

Still thinking about the finish. Here are my favorites in order:

A friend suggested the army green with a ww2 star on it. Perhaps I could make it look worn with some of the wood showing through... That might look good for Pintrest. :)

With all the different wood pieces I'd love to see a natural finish so you could see them all...

I think the army green but translucent so you can see the differing woods through it. Add the star or not would look good either way, or add the star but use a stencil and leave it as bare wood

Here is the 5th video; Shaping the Neck.

BTW, this is just how I have settled into doing things. Perhaps others have better techniques. :)

That is so nicely done, may I ask will it be clear coated to show its uniqueness ?

No doubt what-ever you choose it will be finely done :)
