If I may ask a question...
I really dig the flying V, the only experience I've had so far is with Les Pauls, how does the V compare soundways to the LP and SG sound? In what ways is it different?

They are very similar tone-wise.

That ain't a mid 70's V, mid 80's it is. No earlier than 83.

Thanks! It's a Custom Shop Flying V Standard. Basically a Flying V with LP R9 appointments. Best part about it is the neck. Nice and chunky like an R9, but not too fat.

Which P90's do you have, and how do you like them?

I also have a white '67 RI, it's a great guitar. I hated the 500T pickup, it was pulled and the 496R moved to the bridge with an old T-top added to the neck. Might try an A4 or A5 magnet in the 496R.
