Luckily I don't have to sing :naughty::thumb:

If I had to, I'd be screwed. Really. I can (kind of) sing, and I can play but I can't sing AND play. :mad:

I love Fleetwood Mac in the Buckingham/Nicks era. Besides the fact I'm in love with Stevie Nicks, I think Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most underrated guitarists ever. Such as unique fingerstyle that he incorporates into rock. Very difficult to play with a pick and have it sound right. But I can't play fingerstyle so I do play those songs with a pick.

When I have a female singer at a jam or sitting in somewhere - I will break out "Rhiannon", "Gold Dust Woman", and one of Stevie's solo tunes "Edge of Seventeen". Although Seventeen was Waddy Wachtel - another fine underrated player.

Both versions of the band are great.

If it's the Buckingham/Nicks era, fingerpicking, lots of vocal harmonies which are NOT easy....

Congratulations Thundergod. I hope you do really well. Don't be nervous, just lay it on that Les Paul and dig in with them..

Sweet, glad you got the gig. I agree with the others here ... Buckingham's a badass, one of the best ever because he has the ears to listen and let the song dictate his playing instead of stomping it into the dirt. If I were trying to do his lines, I'd be chasing the "less is more" vibe, and concentrating on great tone, and clear picking. He's an incredibly disciplined guitarist and in his music, any slop at all shows up faster than cockroaches in a crackhouse.
