Well...I finally got a reason to be on here. Pickin' away quite happy on my Tele Deluxe 6 hours ago when, would you believe it, a guy turns up at my door with a present no less !..A Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe.....and I thought ..am havin' some o' that. Nice gift eh ?..Anyhow just put it down to come say hello. Think I need to set the action nearer to my taste, as contrary to what Gibson say, I think the Guy who set the action was a cello player and not good-to-go from the box. Sounds fantastic anyhow and the set up I'll do once I get over the initial excitement. No doubt I'll be pestering you guys for your knowledge as this is my first excursion away from the Fenders into Gibson Land.

Thanks guys...been playin' this damn thing all night ye wouldn't have thought i've been playin' for 42 years, It just completely took me over, kinda like a kid with a new toy...Anyhow my fingers ache which is unusual but then i've been using .009-0.042 for years and these i think must be 0.10-0.46 yeah ? there shouldn't be no prob if i restring her with 0.09-0.42 should there ? first LP and all. (btw upl8tr am a don..ye know..sheep and all that).
