Has anyone compared Duncan Antiquities to the Mojotone Johnny Winter pups ?

No, but I've used Antiquity FB pickups, and that is the sound I heard on Johnny's records.

I have been researching Firebird pickups.
A5 is generally the magnet of choice.
But I have also been told that if treble is a concern to go with A2

No but i own the mojotone Johnny winters i believe they're potted which angers me cause i woulda never bought them if i knew that. I turned my amp up to 12 and when i put it in front of the amp it didn't howl at all which is why i believe they're potted however they sound REALLY GOOD.

Probably not what your looking for but I put one of these in one of my JB Treasure FB’s and it surprised the hell out of me. Have not been able to put it down. YMMV...

I have a Tokai FB which has aftermarket (not by me) Creamery FB minis. The bridge is A5 with higher DCR and neck is A2 with lower DCR. I've swapped them over, jacked up the A2 now in the bridge and dropped the A5 now in the neck. It's made a world of difference and smoothed the sound out. No more ice pick or mud.
