...........2011 model. I’ve been after one of these for literally about 25 years and it’s always eluded me somehow.

Okay, I'll take you "literally". No wonder you had such a long wait. To get a 2011 starting 25 years ago, you'd automatically have 17 year wait to start with!
Seriously, I'm sure it is quite satisfying for you. I think any finish other than nature is a waste of the construction artwork.

here is my 91 FB on the operating table with the JB epiphone getting a pickup transplant...the JB epiphone got the SD Antiquity and i put a stock mini back in the 1991...both guitars survived the operation and are doing fine, the epi needed that SD antiquity bad or it would have been put out to pasture...sounds great now.....will get some pics of these and my 72 soon

added this one.....the prior owner of the 72 medallion hacked the pup cavities but i had to have it ...at a price that worked for me....had one years back and sold it like a dumbass...so i had to get one back

been looking for a 64 or 65 after that im good .....until the next one... :h5:

I realized that I didn’t post pic of my last Firebird acquisition in the thread. It’s a 2002 CS Firebird V. I don’t know if it’s Cardinal Red or Ember Red. I can’t find any pictures of the two colors side by side to compare them. Anyway here a couple of pics.

My 2002 Custom Shop Non-Reverse. It is now my #1 and I am looking for more.

I previously owned a 1995 FB V Reissue in black.

I would love to own a 2016 or 2017 "T".

I would like one of those Epi Bonamassa FB I's, also. :)

I will probably get another non-reverse, though. 3 pickup Custom Shop TV white? Yes, please.
Here's my 2010 Firebird V and my simple rig - classic guitar pedals which i use depending on my mood.

Wow. 2017 seems like yesterday. I cannot believe I was still using photobucket! o_O

I put a covered set of Tom Holmes in the 2002 Non Reverse, just like @Kris Ford said I should.

And I scored a TV White Non Reverse with P-90's. It has become my #1.

You'd think I would be content, but I am going to need to come back to this thread to add one with mini FB pickups in the future. :jam:

Thought I’d post my Firebird I as well. I absolutely love it and it is the first Firebird I’ve ever had as well as the first Gibson Guitar I’ve owned. I’ve always wondered why Gibson doesn’t use frost blue more often it’s absolutely stunning in person

The other night I brought and played my FB at the weekly jam session - a rare occurrence.

The guys were very complimentary about its tone and shape...

An inspiring instrument.

Here is my new Firebird 1. I have fallen in love all over again. It’s my first Bird.View attachment 471582View attachment 471583View attachment 471584View attachment 471585

I realized I hated the Lightning Bar bridge. I know it's the correct "look" and all, but my guitar isn't vintage and I don't need to pretend it is, so after struggling with the setup and the feel of the stock bridge I replaced it with a regular, aluminum wrap-tail bridge and I gotta say, it's more comfortable, easier to set up and I do think the sustain is a bit better as well - still using the locking steel studs with it. Just thought I'd put it out there since its a cheap and simple mod to try and see if you like it. Mine is definitely staying that way.

This was my 2017 Firebird T but traded it for a 2013 61 SG which I love, but lately I have I have been really wanting another 2017 T but in vintage sunburst.
