Finish Repair or Not?

I have a 2006 R8 VOS. I acquired it a couple of years ago great guitar no issues except for some finish ware just the below the upper bout below the binding. I’ve noticed it’s gotten more pronounced and appears to be shrinking due to the nitro being fairly thin. Can this be repaired without a refin which I don’t want to do or should I just leave it?

Even without the pics, I say "not".

A guitar is either a tool or a showpiece but not both effectively.

If you play a guitar there will be playwear and that's a badge of honor that the guitar was worth playing.

Nothing wrong with repairing a finish.

I agree to some extent. What I'm saying is there's nothing wrong with just letting it be.

Obviously hard to say without a picture, however if you have or know a good refinish guy, it may be worth it.
