Greets all,
About a week ago I finally made the investment and bought a brand spankin new Les Paul Studio Deluxe with the 60's slim neck, vintage burst paint job.
I absolutely love it. Over the years I've pecked around on a few REAL LP's, but until you actually own one, you don't know what you have been missing. You know what I mean; being able to sit down with it for a couple of hours, get comfortable with the neck and put it through its paces.
I have a 1976 Ibanez Les Paul (Black Beauty) knock off I bought back in 1980 and it still plays well. It has one of the fastest necks I have played, but it doesn't have half the sustain or the solid feel of quality that my new LP possesses.
What a marvellous piece of art those boys in Nashville are making.
