Prayers and best wishes. When you return to work, don't take it all on yourself. Hopefully you are part of a supportive team. God bless you and your loved ones.

Stents are amazing, I have 5 of them. They are my best friends.

So jealous of you
I only had one stent lol
LOL. my bad choices putting in that situation, I'm jealous of people with none. I'm lucky I didn't have to have bypass surgery.

Trying to get cleared to return to work after covid(been out since 12/4), it was discovered that my heart was "damaged) by the virus.
Pulse was nearly twice what it should be, BP very high also.
Dr thinks it is a by product of covid(she has 5 others with the same symptoms).
She did an EKG that she was not pleased with.
Tomorrow is an echocardiogram and a heart scan to see what damage there is.
My blood sugar was also very high and she thinks there might be a pancreas issue as well.
I had a physical a few months ago and non of this was present.
I`m a little nervous.
Not about the tests,
About
the results.
How did it go?

How did it go?
I had 2 tests.
One ok
One not so good.
I see the cardiologist again on the 20th and my primary soon after.
They both are trying to figure out why my tests have a yo yo effect.

Which Tests, ?

Cardio is hard to "catch" you need to be having the event at the time of testing....

Like when your symptomatic with Shortness of breath, fast beating heart that you can feel, passing out....things like that.....because if your heart is beating fine and they run the test....they wont catch an event.

That was the problem with me
When I had a scan cardiologist was raving about how strong my heart was, nothing to worry about
Little did he know somewhere along the way my arteries were narrowing

Did they do an angiogram
Not sure why they call it in the US
When they put a dye in your veins to check blood flow to your heart?

This is a by product of covid. I was fine a few months ago.
My blood sugar also spiked(318) and I am not diabetic(I guess I may be now).
They have me on Metformin to see what happens.

They also had a heart monitor taped to my chest for 3 days and I shipped it to Houston and I don`t think they have results yet.
I now have a bald spot on my chest where there used to be hair.

Thats what I was getting at ...they gave you a Holter Monitor that records cardiac events as they occur over a period of time. If you had some events they will be recorded. It went to a cardiologist who will read the data for results. Takes a few days to a week.
