Hi, this is my first post here.

2 Weeks ago i brought a Les Paul Studio (Fireburst) and i love it till death.
I'm completly in love with the way LP's feel and play, and sound of course. :)

To conclude this post/topic i've got a chance to trade my Fender Jag-Stang (stock) against a Fernandes Super Grade Les Paul. (has no finish)

I heard that these old Fernandes/Burny copies sound really good, so can anybody confirm if this is a old one? If i had to judge for myself i think it is, since Fernandes doesn't make Super Grade models anymore. Only Burny does i believe.

Yep that looks pretty old to me, but it's strange that a Fernandes guitar has a christmas-tree truss rod cover like that (I thought Fernandes came before Burny, so v. early 80s, yet that TRcover is from the late 80's....). Maybe I am wrong though, it's happened before!

Either way, I'm not sure about the fairness of the trade. If you plan on refinishing the Fernandes, it'll cost you some bux, and a Fender Jag is a nice axe in itself....
