What do you exactly want to know?
You bought that guitar in january 1987, it has a Mats headstock shape and diamond type, so you know it's from 1985 or 1986. You can check that by looking at the pot codes. You also know Fernandes branded LPs were intended for export which is accurate for you bought the guitar in the UK. What else is there to know?

may have been made in 1983, and assembled later?

If you read what I wrote how many were made was my question. I didn't know it has a Mats headstock, how would I. I guessed it was 86 but have just been told an 83. I haven't looked at pot codes either, see there is a lot I don't know about the guitar. And they're Burnys not fernandes.

Ok, that's fair.

A Fernandes branded LP = (except for 1978) an export Burny LP.

Pot code; first 2 digits of the bottom row on the pot = resp. year and month of manufacture of the pot. Turnover time about 2-4 months.
So 62 = february 1986. You could check that.

Timeline;
first RR made = 1983
first export Burny LP logged = Fernandes LP = 1986
Kasuga Burny = mid 1981 to early 1985
Matsumoku Burny = early 1985 to 1986

You emailed Fernandes USA, they do know virtually nothing about Japanese Fernandes/Burny production during the 80s.

I wrote myself to fernandes and this was the answer

"Hello Emiliano,

It is a very special guitar indeed, appears to be a prototype of the first RR Randy Rhodes model from 1982, made in Japan.

That's funny. Yours is a year older than mine.
