I like the look and the shape. As has been mentioned the arch top is absolutely gorgeous. I like the 60's neck mine has, quite fast for someone with smaller hands such as I. But I do have a fender as well. And I like it too. A lot. They both give me great sound and great tone depending on what i want. (the fender is a fat strat so it's got the humbuckers).

The main difference aside from looks and tone is in the playing. The fender makes me work for it, while the LP gives it to me for free. She loves me. that's a fact :D

My three favourite things about Les Pauls are:

1) Style
2) Style
3) Style

Of course they're amazing guitars which sound great & play great, but so are lots of others. One thing is certain in my book, however, and that is the fact (opinion) that when it comes to style, no one comes close.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever mocked-up a slashtonez stomp box?

ps, the string gauge knob should be numbered 100 to 25. :laugh2:

But that's real... personally all I think you need is this:

I like the neck angle hugging my body.

And the switch position.

And the knob position.

And the maple top.

And the mojo.

For me it's all about the right hand and how comfortable everything is. From the placement of the knobs to the bridge design to how you can control each pickup individually, it's just perfect to me.

I wish I could get along better with Strats because I love the sound, but my right hand always feel so uncomfortable.

Never mind. I don't like the pick guard.

Well, sometimes I like a pick guard, sometimes I don't.

Because, if you want it too, it produces a sound that is equivalent to having a pair of boobs rubbed in you face. And that's cool!
