I don't think many people disbelieve in climate change. The Earth has been through, is in the middle of, and will go through many more of these ... both large and small changes.

I think the arguments are, which direction (warmer or colder), do we (humans) affect it, do we affect it enough to matter, and can we do anything about it anyways.

...but maybe the point of this thread is just to post funny memes ... and that is good enough for me.

:dunno:

Yeah, I am all for greener is better as long as it is within "reason" (however we determine that).

I never understood why it matters if the climate is changing naturally or because of our activity. What I mean is shouldn't we take the best care of our home (earth) as we can either way? The cause and debate about climate change is moot. Just act responsibly no matter what.

I don't really have an opinion about all this...if that makes sense....but there is a logic t the notion that if we aren't the cause of it then there is no reason to significantly change. And as Brian says, "responsibly" is the pivotal word. IOW, if I thought my rain dance caused precipitation would it be irresponsible for me not to do it?

I think it's sinking in in China.

But really we should just all stick our heads up our asses and hope for the best. Maybe pray.

It'll take more than china to right the ship. What about all those other countries that dont have strict regulations? How long will it take to sink in there? And just because it might be sinking in in China doesnt mean it won't take them awhile before they actually put their sense to use. Some countries dont have the funds to make it right. And 9/10, they won't ever get it.But hey! If it works for you by doing that? Let me know it smells up in there:laugh2:

I think the only climate change questions among reputable scientists (those not on the Payroll of the Koch brothers) is how much human activity is causing climate change and how much of it is due to natural causes. There is no question that human activity is at least one of the causes -- if not the major cause.

China will go full 'green' before the West does, especially Canada and the US.

I will be visiting Germany before long. I understand they generate their electricity almost 100% from solar and wind. Kind of difficult to believe, knowing the climate there, but I got this from a reputable source. That's great, if it is true.

Yep. They'll be selling us green technology while we wring our hands and point the finger at each other.

They already have most of our money. Maybe they'll 'gift' us some of the tech like banks give out TVs and toasters.

@ Northern

pretty sure we're evolved sentient bacteria.

maybe it's why we're social creatures. :laugh2: ..maybe it's why we like 'being connected'...or whatever.

...we're a pretty stupid species. I think the trick would be as a species if we thought we were very stupid,..we'd strive not to be,..to be better and smarter,..more aware.

but since we think we're sooooo smart

I never met a smart person that actually thought they were smart. They knew they weren't stupid but they don't feel they're as smart as they'd like to be,..so they study.

Met a lot of very stupid people who think they're frikkin geniuses. ...so they never study,..because they already know it all. (Kanye West is a perfect example of this mindset,..and it's prevalent.)

..kinda funny,..kinda sad.

I suspect 10% of the population is really miserable being stuck on this rock with the other 90% who seem to be violent non-thinkers.

I'm not sure 100%, but they give more of a damn than we do and are doing a much better job at reducing emissions than we are.

Sounds like something that should be true, it most definitely is not true.

Animals poop where they sleep, where they eat, where they drink, and even poop on themselves. They poop everywhere. Some of 'em even eat it.

Of course, people do too when there are no other or few other options. I mean, afterall, we are animals.
