usually crap, sure there can be those that are ok but generally crap.
And most importantly they're all illegal.

Wonder no more. They're crap, and illegal to manufacture, sell, purchase or own.

Let's say it like this, if the guitars were any good why wouldn't they sell them under their own brand, that way they'd actually be able to sell their guitars and not get in jail.

I wouldn't touch anything that says Gibson on it that isn't actually a Gibson. There's enough good Les Paul copies out there without these knock-off ones. Have a look at a Tokai Les Paul or something similar. As EtriX said if they were any good they'd sell it under their own brand.

If you buy one and they get shut down like Payress did, your name will be on file and you could be reprimanded. Don't do it. Not only is it wrong, it's not worth it.

There are way too many legal options out there for around the same price as the "Fibson" guitars..

Is it really worth the risk just to have a fake logo on the headstock when you can do a little research and find a very decent quality guitar for around the same price?:hmm:

Theyre not illegal to own. Its kind of like the prohabition laws, its illegal to sell or make the product, but they cant do anything to you if you own one. Unless the saw you buy one or have some kind of evidence to prove it.

Those Jay Turser's look cool (wonder why).

I'd rather own a JT, Hondo, Tokai or an Agile rather than a fake... those are manufacturer's who stand by their guitars and put some love in them. You're far better bound to get a good guitar from those than a Chinese fake.

You sure about that? I'm pretty sure you're wrong. Possession of counterfeit and/or stolen goods is, in fact, a crime. It's just (almost) never subject to an indictment, unless the state can prove knowledge aforethought. If they can, your ass is grass.

Intellectual property is treated slightly differently than tangible property but not, in point of fact, by much.

electrinics are awfull, hums like mother!
Hardware corosion started in a few weeks
Tuning pegs slip by 1/4 turn before the cranks work

If thats not enough i can tell you more

My neighbor has a Jay Turser LP in ebony and it's really not that bad at all... I mean pups are crap but switch em out and get a pro setup and you got a pretty rockin guitar.

And I think he paid like $190.00 new!

A Jay Turser is not a fake - it's a Jay Turser.
