We should have a whole thread dedicated to educating others who might not know how to spot irregularities.
Over the past few years I have learned a lot but want to learn more.
It would be great to show guitar enthusiasts how to spot incorrect era parts ..It may surprise some but its a way some shady unscrupulous sellers can add a quick few bucks by adding era correct hardware and electronics to pass off as all original.
Just a thought!

The 1st example on Ebay appeared easy to spot.
sometimes its not always so easy...it sure would be great to spread the word and get people to show examples its so much easier to educate by giving visual examples.

Someone got burnt. 1200 for a fake with a such an obviously wrong headstock, open book shape, and serial number. Bummer...

Although it says sold, it could be a shill bid with a friend of the seller trying to generate some interest. I'd keep an eye on the seller, he'll probably re-list it in a few days.
