I think you can by melting pickup rings with acetone and applying it, I would think someone that has never done it would ruin their guitar though lol! There was a guy on here who claimed he could put nibs on the fret ends….
Thx man! I'm not done with the ADB. I want to take my time with it and do it right. I am not sure how much I should go with it and I definitely don't want to go to much. I will post more pics of the ADB when I get done with it...That looks sweet, very nice!
Looks great. I'd maybe work on that chip on the horn and leave it otherwise as is.
Les Pauls always look odd to me with no binding. I notice this when watching later videos of Gary Moore post Greenie when he was playing a studio. The neck to me looks especially naked without it. Funny how we've been so conditioned to expect it.
For others wanting to do this, Stew Mac makes a tool for scraping binding that should make this easier:
Binding Scraper
Hope this helps and happy scraping!
No worries. Glad to shareThx man! Yeah I decided to not do anymore to the binding. I think it looks good enough and since I am doing it by hand I really don't want to mess it up. I still need to feather in that chip on the horn. The chip came with the guitar and really didn't bother me until i did the binding. Now it sticks out like a soar thumb. I didn't know you could buy a tool for scrapping the binding that is good to know for next time.
Boy that’s a spendy little tool! But looks pretty handy though.Looks great. I'd maybe work on that chip on the horn and leave it otherwise as is.

You could buy one used for quite a bit less.Yeah Stew Mac is a bit pricey. Prob find one cheaper elsewhere. But if you do this kinda work and make money at it? I'm sure the tool is well worth the money.
