A Les Paul Pick from the 50's....and it's only $11k!!

Don't let this little piece of history get away!! Here's the auction....and the seller seems to really be a guitar guy!

A pick for $11K?!? Holy shyte what would the seller charge for a whole guitar? I can't count that high.

we have entered some very serious cork-sniffing territory now..

even if I could afford it, I would not even consider buying an old, used pick for that kind of money - even if it's the Pick of Destiny used by Les Paul himself, passed on to and used by Eric Clapton who then gave it to Jimmy Page to record a few albums, then finally passed to and used by Slash so he could record AFD with it.

$11,000 dollars .. no way, no how ..

Lot 693 in Les Paul's estate auction consisted of hundreds of picks, many handmade by Les Paul. The lot sold for $10,000.

Some simple division results in a value of $20-30 per pick (depending on how many picks were in the lot). That makes sense to me; that's about what I would pay for one of them. Certainly not $11K.
