Nice 562ce Dale, been watching them on Reverb & wondering how they sound compared to the 652 or 362's.
How do you like the bracing, a little brighter/fuller? I'm liking it on my 914.

wow what a great list! I have a playlist of 12 strings tunes to work up but this is killer and i'm stealing a few!

Mine is actually a 362C...i ordered it without Taylor pickup as i prefer to put my own in. I love the guitar..i like just having 6 holes for the strings making the break angle the same on all strings. It plays super easy, it comes with .10s so the strings are light. I've already changed them and went back with the same gauge. I like the short scale and the 12 fret to the body doesn't bother me...i can still get that last D chord on Give A Little Bit!

The mahogany top works great for a 12 i think, it sounds a bit compressed and super even from treble to bass strings. I think the V brace is cool. Intonation is good - for the money i may be as pleased with this guitar as any I've ever owned. I'm having a hard time putting it down! Thanks again for sharing your amazing list!

You say you changed the 10's it came with, then went back, did you change to 9's?
I have a GS mini, & changed the 10's to 9's I like it better especially for bends.
The other option for me would be to tune it down 1/2 or more.
Glad you liked the list, good choice on the 12-string, I like the mahogany top w the shaded edge burst, stunning, plus the six holes instead of 12 for the strings is nice, thanks for the lessons & the review & clarifying the model, my bad.
I saw a reverse 12-string last week, w the bass stings on top instead of the bottom.

sorry that was unclear...it came with .10s and i put the same gauged strings back on it. I'm not sure honestly if you can get a 12 string set with .09s - for me that would be a bit too light - the 10's push it for me but i'm keeping with the Taylor guages at least for awhile. Honestly for a 12 string i don't know how you could expect it to play better.

Thanks for you kind words...i do sincerely appreciate it - enjoy your GS!

It's a nice song. Simple. Yet every time I hear it I absolutely cringe when that solo comes in after the bridge. That F# bent up and then slid to A# is just nauseating. I've never actually sat to to analyze why musically (I only know it offends me to the core)...I just can't stand hearing it.
Anyone else feel that? What do you say doc?

Thanks....I'm not alone then. I remember a long time ago driving in the car when I first heard the song on the radio...when that part came I blurted out "holy crap!" (actually probably a lot more blue than that :eek2:) and the missus said "what's wrong?" ....."that guitar note! did you hear it?" ....she didn't notice anything (and she's a classically trained pianist) and still to this day when we hear that song she doesn't think there's anything wrong. I mean...they thought it was good when they recorded it...the producer thought it was good obviously. What do I know? Maybe it's just a strange musical sensitivity....
I read once about a horn player who was court martial-ed during the Napoleonic wars for refusing to play a Bb (insisted it should be a B natural) in some military piece...said he just couldn't do it because it was so wrong and offended him :dunno:

Sorry doc...i don't mean to hijack your thread...I'll let it go here

I'm the same way. I'm not technically a trained musician, but I was blessed with great ears for music, and a great sense of timing.

I feel the same way about remixes. Even the official ones. When I hear them, all I can think of is how bad the timings/beats are.

Ok, back on-topic...

Still, a decent song, and a huge thanks to Dale for breaking it down for us.:)
